The Wickham Hotel is a three-storeyed masonry hotel, constructed by the firm Cussack and O'Keefe in 1885 for Timothy O'Shea who had amalgamated a number of blocks in 1881.
Established in 1885, The Wickham Hotel is undoubtedly one of Brisbane’s most iconic venues. The hotel has proudly supported the LGBTQIA+ community sinces the 1970s and is proud to be the home of Big Gay Day, Brisbane’s largest LGBTQIA+ festival. This heritage listed venue prides itself on honouring it’s fabulous history, whilst creating a modern and safe space for all patrons, regardless of gender identity, race or sexuality.
