RIVAH joins the Niche roster

Boundary-pushing pop artist signs with Niche Productions.

Already hailed as part of new pop vanguard with comparisons to the likes of MØ and SZA, RIVAH combines a monstrous voice with a serious knack for penning a pop hook.

For the past few years the burgeoning star has been splitting time between her home in Brisbane and writing and performing interstate and overseas in New Zealand, New York and LA, working with songwriters and like Sam de JongM-Phazes, Jasper Leak and Lindsay Jackson and recording with noted producers Pip Norman (Jarryd James), Eric J (Chet Faker, Flume), JP Fung (Client Liaison) and Jesse Porches (Super Cruel).

"Her captivating vocals and how she pushes the boundaries of pop music is what drew us to RIVAH, initially. After seeing her at BIGSOUND and learning that there's such a strong team around her, we knew we had to be a part of the ride!"

Earlier this year she was also announced as the latest signing to Inertia Music, the news coinciding with the release of her self-titled debut EP and new single Worry Bout It (check out the video below). Adding even more to her growing list of accomplishments, RIVAH was named as a finalist for the prestigious Billy Thorpe Scholarship and selected by triple j Unearthed to open for The Rubens on their 2018 headline tour and duet on their massive hit, Never Ever.

“Writing this EP has been one of the most intense journeys of my life. Metaphorically and physically," she said.

"Three years of wandering and being uncovered, from New Zealand to Melbourne to LA to NYC to the north coast of NSW to my hometown of Brisbane and back".
