Calling all sync agents, music supervisors, label A&R, festival programmers, cultural policymakers, funders, arts educators, producers, screen creatives, and anyone passionate about equitable, sustainable music futures, this session is for you!
Grow the Music (GTM) is a grassroots social enterprise supporting First Nations and CALD artists through community-led music education, performance, and mentoring.
With recent Music Industry Development funding from Sound NSW, GTM is launching the GTM Archive and Sync Agency, alongside the GTM Library (hosted by Disco), to preserve 13 years of recordings and create licensing pathways for underrepresented artists.
Led by founder Lizzy Rutten, with partner Courtney Tune, Elder Aunty Bea Ballangarry, festival manager Jazz Williams, and emerging artist Isaiha Kelly, this session explores cultural preservation, economic empowerment, and creative leadership. Through lived stories, panel discussions, and live performance, GTM offers a model for sustainable, community-driven music futures grounded in equity, culture, and real industry access.
