Alister Newstead is a Naarm/Melbourned-based author, broadcaster, and music and pop culture reporter for Double J and ABC News.
With a career spanning more than 15 years, he is the author of Currents, an entry in the 33⅓ Oceania series examining Tame Impala's 2015 album of the same name.
Alister was previously the long-term music editor and news reporter for triple j. He is also a sometimes musician (as one half of Quiet Coven), full time physical media addict, Gizzhead and part-time duffer.
