Katy Richards is a live music industry professional and the Founding Director of Ground Control Event Services, which provides crew, event staff and logistics support to promoters across Australia. A strong advocate for gender equity and crew welfare, she serves as a board director for CrewCare and as the Australasian representative on the international board of the Music and Entertainment Educators Association. In 2024, Katy was a finalist in the Australian Women in Music Awards in the Touring and Production category. She is committed to improving conditions, representation and support for those working behind the scenes in live music and events.
